I wish I knew them long long time ago!!!!
Getting professional help every time you do your makeup is not easy and feasible, why not do it yourself? Yes I don’t want to make a fool out of me, doing the wrong makeup and look weird instead of looking beautiful. Every morning before leaving for office all I could do was apply a black pencil and baize lipstick, giving a simple but not so dull look. But on a special occasion or a special day, when you don’t have time to visit a salon before office, I really dint had much to do with myself other then look the usual.
1. Spoon Support
Use a spoon to apply mascara on your bottom lashes without getting your skin stained.
2. Blush IT
Blush not only adds color, but also contours and defines your cheek bones. First you need to know your face shape, to apply blush in a most favorable way. Proper application of blush can bring out the best features and also soften those that are too prominent.
3. Scotch Tape
The best and clean way to apply eye linear & shadows is scotch tape. Getting cat eye look and balanced look for both the eyes have never been this easy.
4. Hide Under Eye Bags
Instead of using concealer to the entire under eye area, highlight the crease and then apply a darker shade to the actual puffy area to actually hide the under eye bags.
When you are trying to create naturally beautiful eye makeup, placement of proper highlights is very important. Apply light colors like white, cream and pearls in the inner corners, middle of the eye and just under your brow bone. Also make sure to apply light colors before you go on to the dark shades.
6. Mascara Health
Mascara tube dries pretty fast, and you can find jelly like lump coming out in the brush. Generally will advise you to replace your tube every two months, but in case of shortage or emergency, you can add 1-2 drops of Visine eye drops (or any eye drop) into the tube and rub the wand around the inside of the tube. The eye drop actually melts the mascara liquid making it easier for you to apply.
Exfoliate your lips regularly using a soft brittle brush. Mix olive oil and sugar making a homemade scrub, apply over your lips and gently scrub using your finger tips for smooth and soft lips. The smoother and softer the lips, the easier it gets for you to apply lipstick.
8. Big Eyes
Instead of lining your water line with dark eyeliner, use a white pencil to create the illusion of a bigger eye.
9. Eye Shadows
To make your eye shadow color pop out, apply white color as base.
10. Eye Lashes
False eye lashes are difficult and time consuming, but it gives a killer look.
4 ways to get the look without the hassle:
(a) After curling your lashes, apply a thin layer of powder before applying your mascara.
(b) Apply two coats of mascara to the bottom and TOP side of your lashes, but wait 3-5 minutes in between each coat, otherwise they tend to get clumpy.
(c) When applying your mascara, move the mascara wand back and forth while going up. The left and right motion will make sure every lash is covered entirely
(d) Finally, check your lashes for any gap. Use a fine tipped liquid eyeliner to fine tune and fill in any gaps.
11. Curled Lash
To get long lasting doubles curl, pinch at the base of your lashes and then lift the curler up into an inverted position.
12. Blow Dry your Lash Curler
Blow-dry your lash curler for 3-4 seconds before applying to achieve flirty lashes all day long.
13. Perfect Foundation
Using the right shade of foundation is important. No matter how perfectly you apply it, if it’s a wrong shade you are doomed. You should actually match your foundation to your neck. It’s the best indicator of your natural coloring, and allows for the best blending when you apply.
14. Business Card
Hold a business card behind your lashes before applying mascara so that you can easily move mascara back and forth coating every lash without staining the eye lid.
15. Eye Lift
To create an illusion of a higher arch, sweep a light pink matte pencil across the entire length of your brow bone and blend it properly.
16. Proper Contouring
To bring up and define your cheekbones and jaw line, reduce the look of a double chin, minimize a larger nose, and lift sagging eyes you need to have proper contouring. Use a bronzer or powder that is a few shades darker than your skin, and a foundation that is a few shades lighter for highlighting. For the most part, your t-zone and under eye area is where you want to highlight, and the outer portion of your face, underneath your cheekbones, and your neck is where you want to define with a darker color. Keep in mind, blending is key for a natural look.
17. Eyeliner Barrier
To prevent your eye liner moving from its place, press powder right under the eye liner on your bottom lid creating a barrier.
18. Fake Lips
To get dramatic larger lips, draw a line just outside your natural line, don’t go too far.
19. Move Down
Usually while washing our face or applying moisturizer we make upward strokes to help lessen fine line and a sagging face. But, apply makeup and foundation in downward strokes making face hair less visible as the hair on our face tends to grow downwards.
20. Suitable Eyebrows
Which shape of eyebrows suits my face? Well few might not pay much attention, but eyebrows are important in defining our face. Depending on your facial features and shape give your eyebrow its shape and thickness.
21. Mix Moisturizer
A very simple and easy way to hide your imperfection naturally, mix your facial moisturizers with a little bit of concealer and apply. This way you can spread it with right amount of coverage.
22. Quick Eye Lift
To give an illusion of eye lift, draw an arch directly above your eyebrow using your favorite highlighter and blend well with your finger tips.
Once your mascara expires, do not throw the wand instead wash and reuse them. You can use them as an eyebrow brush, to apply color before sweeping across your brows or spray with hairspray and use them to brush and keep your eyebrows in place.
24. Clean Lashes
Wipe your mascara wand off on a tissue before each application to apply several coats seamlessly.
25. Hide Blemishes
Instead of using concealer tube to cover blemishes, use a thin brush to apply and then blend properly.
26. No Hard Line
After you are done putting the eye liner, sweep a metallic brown shadow over the liner to soften its look and hide any imperfections.
27. Long Lasting Lipstick
Hold a tissue over your lips and apply powder over the tissue for a long lasting matte look.
28. Fake Eye Lash
A fake eye lash can really give you a killer look. Applying one is little difficult but it pays off with its look.
29. 3D Lips
Stamp a little bit of frosted blush or eye shadow to the center of your bottom and top lip to give a stunning 3D effect.
All your makeup products come with an expiry date. Keeping a track on the expiry date is very important to stay away from any side effect.
